What each line includes
Entries and activities
Budget (AED 794, about ₹20,830): Burj Khalifa At the Top in a non-prime slot (AED 173 × 2), Dubai Frame (AED 50 × 2), a standard evening desert safari with dinner (AED 149 × 2) and Global Village on a weekday (AED 25 × 2).
Mid-range (about AED 1,360): the same, plus Dubai Miracle Garden (AED 100 × 2), a prime sunset slot at the Burj Khalifa (AED 250 × 2 instead of 173) and a better safari with a quad-bike or dune-buggy add-on.
Premium (about AED 3,000): Burj Khalifa SKY levels, a private desert safari, a dhow dinner cruise at Dubai Marina and one theme park day.
Stay
Our planning rates are about AED 250 a night for a clean 2–3 star hotel in Deira or Bur Dubai, AED 500 for a 4-star near a Metro station in Al Barsha or Business Bay, and AED 1,200 for a 5-star in Downtown or on Jumeirah Beach. These are winter weekday averages; Christmas–New Year and big event weeks can be 50–100% higher.
Every Dubai hotel also adds a Tourism Dirham fee per room per night, from about AED 7 at the cheapest hotels to AED 20 at 5-star properties. It is collected at check-out, so ask whether the price you booked includes it.
| Area | Typical rate (per night) | Good for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deira / Al Rigga | AED 200–350 | Budget, Gold Souk, Red Line Metro, Indian food | Busy, older buildings |
| Bur Dubai / Karama | AED 220–400 | Families, Meena Bazaar, Creek | Small rooms at the lower end |
| Al Barsha | AED 400–650 | Mid-range, Mall of the Emirates | Taxi needed for Old Dubai |
| Downtown / Business Bay | AED 700–1,500 | Burj Khalifa views, fountain | Expensive dining |
| Dubai Marina / JBR | AED 600–1,500 | Beach, couples | Far from the airport and souks |
Food
Dubai is easy for Indian food. In Karama, Bur Dubai and Deira, a vegetarian thali or a biryani costs AED 15–30, and many places serve Hyderabadi and South Indian dishes because of the large Telugu-speaking community. Our budget line is about AED 75 per person per day, mid-range AED 150 and premium AED 350.
| Meal | Price | In rupees |
|---|---|---|
| Cafeteria breakfast or tea and snack | AED 8–15 | ₹210–395 |
| Indian thali or biryani in Karama | AED 15–30 | ₹395–790 |
| Mall food court meal | AED 35–55 | ₹920–1,440 |
| Sit-down dinner for two, mid-range | AED 150–250 | ₹3,935–6,560 |
| Bottled water, 1.5 litres | AED 2–3 | ₹50–80 |
Flights from Hyderabad to Dubai
Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (HYD) has non-stop flights to Dubai International (DXB) on Emirates, IndiGo, flydubai and Air India Express. The flight time is about 3h 40m–3h 50m out and a little longer on the way back. Emirates flies the route several times a day and includes 25–30 kg of checked baggage; low-cost fares often include only 20 kg or less, so check before comparing prices.
Low one-way fares we saw for November were around ₹11,000–15,700, but fares change every day. Our table uses ₹24,000 per person return for a careful booking and ₹32,000 for convenient timings. Expect much higher fares in the Christmas–New Year week, around Diwali and over Sankranti.
Hyderabad has a large Gulf-working population, so late-night departures and return flights after long weekends fill early. If your dates are fixed, book 6–8 weeks ahead. If you can shift by a day or two, compare a midweek departure; Tuesday and Wednesday flights are usually cheaper.
Leave home early. Allow 60–90 minutes to reach RGIA from Hitech City or Secunderabad at night, and 3 hours at the airport for international check-in and immigration.
UAE visa cost for Hyderabad travellers
Indian passport holders need a visa for Dubai. If you hold a valid US visa or green card, or a UK or EU residence permit or visa, you may be eligible for a visa on arrival; check the conditions on the official site before relying on it.
The official 30-day tourist visa fee listed by Dubai's GDRFA is AED 200 plus 5% VAT. In practice it is issued through airlines, hotels and approved agents, who add service and insurance charges, so most travellers pay AED 400–600 all-in. Emirates and flydubai passengers can apply through the airline when they book. Processing usually takes 3–5 working days.
Typical documents: a passport valid for at least 6 months, a passport-size photo on a white background, a confirmed return ticket and a hotel booking. Our Dubai visa for Indians guide has the full checklist. Visa rules change, so confirm with the official source before you pay.

Getting around Dubai
The Dubai Metro costs AED 3–7.50 a trip on a Silver Nol card, depending on how many zones you cross. The Red Line links the airport (Terminals 1 and 3), Deira, Bur Dubai, Downtown, Al Barsha and the Marina, so a budget traveller who stays near a Red Line station can keep transport under ₹6,000 for two for the whole trip.
Taxis start at about AED 12 from the street and more from the airport. You will need one for Global Village and the Miracle Garden, which are not on the Metro. Desert safari prices usually include hotel pickup. For families with small children or heavy bags, a taxi from DXB to Deira or Bur Dubai is short and worth it.
Best time to visit Dubai from Hyderabad
November to March is the comfortable season, with daytime highs of about 24–28 °C and cool evenings. Global Village runs from 14 October 2026 to spring 2027, and the Miracle Garden reopened on 8 October 2026. April and October are warm but workable. June to September is very hot (often 40 °C and above), outdoor sightseeing is hard in the middle of the day, and hotel rates drop sharply.
| Months | Weather | Cost | Verdict |
|---|---|---|---|
| November–February | Pleasant, 24–28 °C days | Highest, peak at Christmas–New Year | Best for first-timers and families |
| March–April | Warm, 30–35 °C | Medium | Good value; Eid can raise prices |
| May–September | Very hot | Lowest hotel rates | Only for malls and indoor attractions |
| October | Warm, cooling | Medium | Good late in the month; outdoor parks reopen |
Hyderabad families usually travel in the Christmas and Sankranti school breaks in December and January, so fares are highest then. Telangana publishes the exact holiday dates in the school calendar; book as soon as your dates are confirmed.
Paying in Dubai: cash, cards and forex
Cards are accepted almost everywhere in Dubai, but carry some dirhams for the abra, souk shops and small cafeterias. A forex card loaded in Hyderabad usually gives a better rate than airport exchange counters. If you buy a full package from an Indian tour operator, tax collected at source (TCS) applies to overseas tour packages; it can be adjusted against your income tax, but it ties up cash, so factor it in.
How to cut the Dubai trip cost from Hyderabad
- Fly midweek. Tuesday and Wednesday departures are usually cheaper than Friday and Saturday, and fares around Sankranti and Christmas can be double.
- Take the visa with your airline. Emirates and flydubai sell the UAE visa with the ticket, which is often cheaper and simpler than walk-in agents. Compare the all-in price.
- Stay near a Red Line Metro station in Deira or Bur Dubai. It cuts both the hotel bill and taxi spending.
- Book the Burj Khalifa for a non-prime slot. AED 173 instead of AED 250 saves about ₹4,000 for two; the morning view is clearer anyway.
- Go to Global Village on a weekday. AED 25 instead of AED 30, and much shorter queues for the rides.
- Eat in Karama and Al Barsha. Indian and Pakistani restaurants there are a third of mall prices.
- Use free sights. The Dubai Fountain, the Creek walk, the souks and Jumeirah public beach cost nothing.
Dubai with children from Hyderabad
For a family of two adults and two children, add the children's flights (close to adult fares), visas and a larger room. A budget family trip usually comes to about ₹2.5–2.8 lakh. Children under 3 enter many attractions free, and Miracle Garden charges AED 80 for a child against AED 100 for an adult. Plan one indoor afternoon each day, even in winter, so children can rest.
Our recommendation
For most couples and families from Hyderabad, 5 days is the right length for a first Dubai trip: enough for the main sights without paying for nights you will not use. A careful couple can do it for about ₹1.6 lakh, and ₹2.5 lakh buys a comfortable 4-star trip.
