This policy explains what personal data HolidayCrest collects, why, and how you can control it. HolidayCrest is a brand of CHOOSE4CHOICE, Hyderabad, India, which is the Data Fiduciary for this website under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

What we collect

  • Newsletter: your email address, the date and time you gave consent, the consent text you agreed to, and the page you signed up from.
  • Messages you send us: your name, email and anything you write, when you email us.
  • Technical data: our web server keeps standard logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and to fix errors. We keep a one-way scrambled form of your IP address for a short time to stop form abuse.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not set cookies for tracking. We do not collect payment details, because we do not sell anything.

Why we use it

  • To send the newsletter you asked for (based on your consent).
  • To reply to your messages.
  • To keep the website secure and working.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with travel agencies or advertisers. We may use a trusted email delivery service to send the newsletter; it processes your email address only on our instructions. We may disclose data if required by Indian law.

How long we keep it

We keep your newsletter email until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent, and then delete it within 30 days, except for a record that you withdrew consent. We keep emails you send us for up to 2 years. Server logs are kept for up to 90 days.

Your rights under the DPDP Act

  • Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it: use the unsubscribe link in any newsletter, the unsubscribe form, or email us.
  • Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct or erase your personal data.
  • Grievance redressal: complain to our grievance officer, and if you are not satisfied, to the Data Protection Board of India.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity.

Children

Our newsletter is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Security

The site runs on HTTPS, newsletter data is stored outside the public web folder, and access is limited to the people who need it.

Changes

If we change this policy, for example when we start working with partner agencies, we will update this page and the date above, and ask for fresh consent where the law requires it.
